If you love pumpkin , this recipe is happiness on the plate. Be patient and keep adding flour to get the right consistency of the dough.
An addition of sweet chilli sauce (I used sriracha cillli sauce) takes the basic spag bol to a new level. Take time to simmer the sauce and induce all the amazing flavours. The success of the dish is all in the sauce! Trust me you will start looking forward to simple spag bol dinners!
If you have never heard of shakshouka eggs, this what google will tell you: ” Shakshouka is a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, chilli peppers, onion, often spiced with cumin.”
The most enjoyable part is scooping all the deliciousness with a piece of fresh bread. Don’t simmer down your sauce too much, let the eggs float!
If you get a nice sourdough loaf from the markets, the best way to use it is making avo with a twist on a grilled sourdough bread. The seasoning on avo that what takes it to the next level. It gets as good or even better than the brekkie at your local café.
Salmon and ginger lovers – this recipe is a must to try. I am addicted now! It requires a bit of time coordination when making salad and cooking salmon. You will time it perfectly after cooking it a couple of times.
It is all about balance, so If you feel like sausages , add kale for a healthy twist to your stew. Blend your potato and pea mash for an amazingly silky consistency and a sweet flavour. I have added more veg by roasting Dutch carrots with a dash of honey. I also highly recommend buying your sausages at the butcher to get the best quality and flavour.
It is a descent dinner dish even though it is called salad. It is a perfect after workout dish if you want a healthy and quick dinner. I love using Thai spiced marinated chicken breasts from Coles for this recipe. It only takes 20 minutes to cook in the oven and turns out tender and juicy. You can also use regular chicken breast. My favourite part is making the salad dressing by mixing different Asian sauces and dipping my finger in to try the flavour.
If you think that vegetarian dishes will leave you hungry, this dish will prove you wrong. It is a surprisingly filling dish – or maybe I ate too many servings 🙂
I just love the rich miso coating. I have used baby eggplants for the recipe but you can also go for the regular eggplants. If you don’t like quinoa, replace it with brown rice .
Green Shakshouka aka a different take on Middle Eastern eggs , minus the sauce plus kale, hence predominantly green and yellow colours on the plate. If you feel like a healthy start to your weekend – off you go, get some kale, shiitake mushrooms (you can substitute with other type of mushrooms), yellow (or green) tomatoes and eggs. I love the sprinkle of spiced Persian feta on top.
I love this super simple toast for brekkie – the colours just pop on the plate. I have scattered pickled zucchini around the toast, only because I have just bought a jar . Get creative and use whatever you like to enhance the look of your toast on the plate 🙂 I have used rye bread for the recipe. Use whatever bread your buy for your household. Multiple the ingredients by the number of people you have to feed.
