Sausage is a comfort food, and pasta can be as well. Combined together, you get a double pleasure. No matter how bad your day was, it will bring a big smile on your face. And a generous pour of red wine to go with the pasta, of course! My personal favourite is pork and apple cider sausages.

I have had a fair share of this traditional Thai fried noodles whilst living in Thailand for three years.  This recipe is simple using the ready made Pad Thai sauce (choose a good quality one), but captures all the key flavors of everyone’s fav Thai dish.

It is a comfort food dinner – choose whole meal bun for a healthier alternative. Heston sauce adds lots of flavor to the fried onions, so invest in one and make it a staple for your fridge. For non Aussies, you can not skip the beetroot. I have been reprimanded for doing it. The Aussie version MUST have beetroot and fried egg. If you don’t have a barbeque , just use the good old frying pan!
